Márquez Puts Injury Talk Behind Him

Marc Márquez wants his full attention on the 2026 MotoGP championship, with the Ducati rider determined to stop discussions surrounding his surgically reconstructed right arm.

Ahead of the San Marino GP, Márquez explained that repeated questions about his physical condition were consuming energy he would rather dedicate to racing. After publicly showing the condition of his arm following Aragón, his message at Misano is simple: the focus is now the championship.

No more distractions. Márquez wants all his energy focused on the title.

Just 19 Points Separate Márquez and Martín

Misano arrives at a crucial stage of the championship.

Jorge Martín leads Márquez by just 19 points, while Marco Bezzecchi is another five points behind. That means only 24 points cover MotoGP's top three heading into Round 14.

Márquez arrives with momentum after his dominant Aragón weekend, but he expects Aprilia to be particularly competitive at Misano.

He has made clear that the objective is to maximise every circuit and ride as fast as possible across the remaining rounds.

Misano Presents Another Major Opportunity

Márquez has plenty of reason for confidence at Misano.

The Spaniard has an outstanding record at the circuit and won here with Ducati in both 2024 and 2025. However, he has warned that this weekend may not suit him as perfectly as Aragón did.

Bezzecchi could be a major threat on home soil, while championship leader Martín remains firmly in control of his own destiny.

Márquez Starts Misano on Top

Márquez's focus immediately translated into speed when track action began.

The Ducati rider topped Friday's FP1 with a 1:31.468, beating Bezzecchi by just 0.060 seconds as the title contenders began their Misano battle.

For Winbox Racing, Márquez's approach is clear. His physical struggles remain part of his story, but they are no longer where he wants the attention.

The target now is the 2026 MotoGP World Championship.
