Aprilia Makes History With Mandalika Top-Four Sweep
Aprilia delivered a historic performance at the 2026 Indonesian Grand Prix, securing all four top positions as Marco Bezzecchi claimed victory at Mandalika on October 11.
Bezzecchi overtook Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez on Lap 19 of the 27-lap race before pulling away to secure his first Grand Prix victory since Mugello.
Fernandez finished second despite racing with two broken fingers sustained during Saturday's Sprint, while Jorge Martin completed the podium.
Japanese rider Ai Ogura finished fourth, completing Aprilia's first-ever MotoGP top-four sweep.
The victory also marked the 300th premier-class Grand Prix win for an Italian rider.
Four Aprilias. Four top positions. One historic Indonesian Grand Prix.
Márquez Wins Sprint but Martin Retakes Championship Lead
The weekend delivered another dramatic chapter in the championship battle between Jorge Martin and Marc Márquez.
On Saturday, Márquez won the Indonesian Sprint after early contact between Bezzecchi and Fernandez eliminated both Aprilia riders from contention.
Martin, who initially led the Sprint, dropped to fourth following tyre-pressure difficulties and an off-track moment.
The result temporarily moved Márquez into the championship lead by four points.
However, Sunday's Grand Prix reversed the situation.
Martin finished third while Márquez struggled to match Aprilia's pace and crossed the line sixth.
The result returned Martin to the top of the championship standings.
Trackhouse Celebrates Breakthrough Weekend
Trackhouse Racing enjoyed one of its strongest weekends of the season, with Fernandez and Ogura contributing to Aprilia's historic result.
Fernandez had already impressed on Saturday by securing his first MotoGP pole position with a 1:28.852 lap.
Despite his Sprint crash and finger injuries, the Spaniard returned on Sunday to lead much of the Grand Prix before finishing second.
Ogura also delivered an outstanding weekend, finishing second in the Sprint before claiming fourth in Sunday's race.
The results highlighted Trackhouse's growing competitiveness against established factory teams.
For Southeast Asian motorsport fans, the performance was especially memorable as the team debuted its Gulf GT40-inspired livery at Mandalika.
