Winbox Racing Takes on Shanghai

Winbox Racing joined THINKCAR x 610 Racing for the 2026 Shanghai 8 Hours, extending the brand's growing presence in Asian motorsport and endurance racing.

Held at the Shanghai International Circuit from September 25–27, the Shanghai 8 Hours brings together teams for one of the region's demanding endurance challenges. P2 in Silver-AM Qualifying

The weekend started strongly as the team secured P2 in the Silver-AM class during qualifying, putting the car in a competitive position for the eight-hour race.

But in endurance racing, qualifying is only the beginning.

Eight hours around Shanghai International Circuit demands far more than outright lap speed. Driver consistency, pit stops, tyre management, reliability and strategy all become critical once the race gets underway.

THINKCAR's involvement also brought an automotive technology element to the programme, with the company highlighting its diagnostic technology alongside 610 Racing during the event. THINKCAR

Winbox Racing Expands Its Motorsport Presence

The Shanghai appearance continues a busy 2026 for Winbox Racing.

Alongside its GR86 Cup Malaysia programme, Winbox Racing has expanded into Porsche Carrera Cup Asia through its partnership with 610 Racing and endurance competition through its Malaysian motorsport collaborations. 

Shanghai adds another international endurance event to that growing motorsport footprint.

More importantly, it places Winbox Racing alongside THINKCAR and 610 Racing in an environment built around teamwork, precision and performance over a demanding race distance.

Eight Hours. One Team. One Goal.

For Winbox Racing, Shanghai wasn't simply about appearing on another starting grid.

It was another opportunity to work alongside experienced motorsport partners, compete on an international stage and continue building the Winbox Racing Team identity across different forms of racing.
