Red Bull Secures Australian MotoGP Title Sponsorship

Red Bull has been officially confirmed as the title sponsor of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix from 2027, marking a major commercial partnership as MotoGP prepares to move from Phillip Island to Adelaide.

Announced on October 12, the multi-year agreement will see the event branded as the Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia, beginning with Adelaide's inaugural race weekend on November 12–14, 2027.

The partnership is confirmed for both the 2027 and 2028 editions, supporting MotoGP's transition to its new city-centre racing venue.

Red Bull's involvement will extend beyond trackside branding, with plans for fan experiences, entertainment and city-wide promotional activities.

A new circuit. A new era. A major name behind Australian MotoGP.

Adelaide to Host MotoGP's First City-Centre Grand Prix

The 2027 Australian Grand Prix will mark a historic change as MotoGP leaves the iconic Phillip Island circuit for a purpose-built street racing venue in Adelaide.

The new Adelaide Street Circuit will measure 4.13 kilometres and feature 15 corners, incorporating sections inspired by the city's former Formula 1 layout.

Famous locations such as Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend and Dequetteville Terrace will form part of the circuit.

Unlike traditional permanent race tracks, the Adelaide event will bring MotoGP directly into an urban environment.

The inaugural race is scheduled as the penultimate round of the 2027 MotoGP season, potentially placing Adelaide at the centre of a championship-deciding battle.

Red Bull Expands Its MotoGP Presence

Red Bull has a long history of supporting motorcycle racing, from sponsoring professional riders and teams to developing emerging talent through the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Its new Australian Grand Prix agreement strengthens that involvement while supporting MotoGP's efforts to attract new audiences.

MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta welcomed the partnership, highlighting Australia's importance to the championship and the opportunity to introduce motorcycle racing to a city-centre audience.

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas also described Red Bull's involvement as a major endorsement of Adelaide's upcoming MotoGP event.

The organisers aim to establish the race as a destination event combining international motorsport, entertainment and tourism.

Phillip Island Prepares for Its Final MotoGP Chapter

The move to Adelaide also marks the end of an important era for Australian motorcycle racing.

Phillip Island has long been recognised as one of MotoGP's most spectacular circuits, famous for its fast corners, coastal scenery and unpredictable weather.

The 2026 Australian Grand Prix will therefore carry additional significance as the championship prepares to farewell the venue.

For Winbox Racing, the transition highlights how MotoGP is evolving through new venues, commercial partnerships and major technical regulations arriving in 2027.

With 850cc engines, Pirelli tyres and a revised race weekend format also on the horizon, Adelaide's debut will be part of a much broader transformation.
