Márquez Shows the True Condition of His Right Arm

Marc Márquez has revealed the striking condition of his surgically reconstructed right arm, offering MotoGP fans a rare look at the physical toll left by years of injuries and operations.

The Ducati rider shared a collection of personal photos following the Aragón Grand Prix, including an image of himself training. The picture clearly shows significant asymmetry between his right and left shoulder and arm, as well as visible surgical scarring.

The image is another reminder of what Márquez continues to manage every time he climbs onto a MotoGP bike.

The speed has returned. The physical scars remain.

Seven Operations Have Taken Their Toll

Márquez's right arm has been through an extraordinary medical journey.

Speaking ahead of Aragón, the Spaniard explained that he has undergone seven operations between his humerus and shoulder, and acknowledged that the repeated procedures continue to affect him physically.

His latest surgery came in May after damaged hardware and a bone fragment were removed to relieve pressure on the radial nerve. Following his return, Márquez reported that the nerve was functioning better and that he was no longer experiencing the same numbness in his right hand, fingers and elbow.

But solving the nerve problem did not immediately restore full strength.

Silverstone Exposed Márquez's Physical Limit

The lasting effects became particularly clear at the British Grand Prix.

Márquez revealed that his struggles at Silverstone were physical rather than mechanical. He said he lacked strength during the race, while footage from inside the Ducati garage showed him explaining that he had struggled to properly control his right arm.

That makes his current level of performance even more remarkable.

Márquez isn't competing with a physically perfect right arm — The lasting effects became particularly clear at the British Grand Prix.

Aragón Victory Sends a Powerful Message

Despite those physical difficulties, Márquez produced a dominant response at MotorLand Aragón.

The Ducati star completed a Sprint and Grand Prix double, taking the maximum points available and climbing to second in the 2026 MotoGP championship. He left Aragón just 19 points behind championship leader Jorge Martín.

The result demonstrated how dangerous Márquez remains when the circuit characteristics work in his favour.

A rider managing one of the most heavily reconstructed arms in MotoGP is still fighting at the very front of the championship.

Márquez Continues to Fight for the MotoGP Crown


The photograph may highlight the physical price Márquez has paid, but his results tell another side of the story.

Years of surgery have visibly changed his right arm. Strength and endurance can still become limiting factors at demanding circuits, and managing his physical condition remains part of every race weekend.

Yet Márquez remains firmly in the 2026 MotoGP World Championship battle.
